The Music Room
The Holywell Music Room is the oldest purpose-built concert hall in Europe. It is a unique and intimate auditorium,'a must for classical music lovers'; you can see and hear perfectly from every seat.
First opened in 1748, and visited by Haydn during the eighteenth century, the Music Room is today the ideal venue for our concerts.
Location and access
The Music Room is in the centre of Oxford, close to pubs and other facilities. Nearby Mansfield Road has some pay and display on street parking. Street Map OX1 3SD
The bulding is accessible for wheelchair users and there are two wheelchair spaces in the hall. These should be booked when tickets are purchased. Front row seats will also be reserved for infirm or disabled people on request.
